When I was a little girl, my grandmother would call me her “mon petit chou chou” or her little cabbage. It was a term of endearment that she gave to me when I would sit on the coffee can and laugh just so everyone would join in. An entertainer to the core, I decided to write this blog about a favorite form of entertainment – specifically film. I love film. Film is art. I am drawn to it, changed by it, and forced to appreciate it for its details. So, this is it. This is to be an unsubtle, biased perspective on films as I see them. My soul yearns for and must speak truth. And since I believe with my whole heart that Jesus is the Truth, that core of my heart will permeate my writing. I hope that you will be entertained as you read! It’s an eclectic smattering so far, but isn’t life just as unique? Love and Joi de vivre to all who read on!

Hello dear Stephanie ~ It’s beautiful to find you here this morning. Frank and I went to see Tree of Life last night. I loved it. Frank got home and did some research on the movie. It was a wonderful movie to mull over on our trip home. Your words and examination of this moving film help give me better perspective. Thank you my dear.
You are right. The past as a souvenir

hello, I just saw your blog because is was on ‘freshly pressed’, and so I read a couple of your posts, then thought, hmmm so who is this (as I always do on blogs that are new to me) and so I checked your about page/this page, and I see that you really, really love movies. I personally am not to big on modern movies because of all the promotional/leading/political// and several other reason, like they try to make things that are not ok seem ok, in movies. and dumb things get too much play and I feel it it wasting peoples brains/feeding bullshit into them. However I do like a GOOD movie if I can ever find it, a lot. So, to my point finally….I thought maybe you would appreciate the mini movie that I imbedded into my blog on the “simple happiness” page. I thought is was really good, so much so that i imbedded it into my blog. I have no connection with the producer of it, I just liked it because it gets an awesome point across by the end. Anyway, please check it out if you are bored and want to see a “short film” that is awesome, and let me know what you think. I replied on this page, so that you wouldn’t think I am trying to get noticed by posting this on one of your article pages, I just actually thought “hey here’s someone who might like the ‘simple happiness movie’ You have a neat blog anyway. Goodbye! . Shawn
Isn it interesting that cinephiles such as ourselves call it ‘films’ while others refer to them as movies? And we say it with such reverence, as well. Love your blog 😀
True! Love from one such “cinephile” to another!
Any plans to review Julie Taymor’s version of Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’

Love to! Thanks for the suggestion!
Your interest is quite fantastic. I find it hard to write something about film. I hope I can write also about it one day. Keep it up.
Love your Blog 😉
I found you because I browsed for Scifi blogs and hit one of your reviews (In Time). I like your style sister, it’s thoughtful with a little bite. I’m following your blog, but I have a feeling it’s going to increase my netflix queue by 15%. Keep up the good reviews.
High praise indeed! Thank you!
Hi! Read your blog because it’s one of the recommended ones. I LOVE it! You’re so fervent in writing your opinions, and funny too. If only I had a movie magazine, I would hire you as one of the columnists hahaha.. Hopefully you’d check out my blog too, but it’s nothing as witty and entertaining as yours is. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for your kind commentary. I will do my utmost to continue with fervor! Thanks!
Your blog was recommended via WordPress to me, as well. You’re an eloquent writer with an interesting perspective as both a religious person and as a woman – both of which are relatively unique in the world of film critique, I think. Nice work!
L’amour et la joi de vivre a toi aussi! I’m learning french haha
Just came across your blog. I look forward to looking at your reviews. Hopefully you can check out some of mine on my blog, as well. 🙂
Great blog! I’ve really enjoyed reading your reviews! Keep it up 🙂
Best of luck,
Arena
We love a lot of the same films! This excites me as a fellow film lover. Enjoyed reading your reviews and the picture heavy posts are the best.

Hello! Just discovered your interesting film review websites. Congratulations! Since I try to include movie reviews of films featured in my home town, Vienna, on my own blog, you’re of course welcome to follow me as well! 🙂
Hi! I have just discovered your blog while creating my own blog about film and have followed it. Like your whimsical passion. Feel free to follow me too.
